Helena’s Helpers was born from family
Inspired by our beautiful gran Helena lovingly known as Lena and our Grampa Kenny, we understand just how important Companionship, kindness and having someone genuinely there for you can be.
Family has always been at the Hart of everything we do, And we wanted to take those same values and offer them to others .
Because Sometimes the smallest things-
a conversation, A cup of tea, A trip out or simply having someone beside you- Can make all the difference

The Hart Behind Helena’s Helpers
Helena’s Helpers was created in memory of our much-loved Gran, Helena — or Lena, as everyone knew her. Gran was incredibly family-orientated and nothing made her happier than having everyone together. With five grandchildren, there was rarely a dull moment! She loved family parties, wonderful beach holidays and, in her younger days, a wee trip to Girvan.
Our Grampa was the absolute love of her life, and she adored him with all her being. Their relationship and the importance they placed on family are a huge part of the inspiration behind Helena’s Helpers.
As Grampa has grown older and needed more support, our family has experienced first-hand how important it is for someone to have more than practical help. Having company, someone to talk to, someone to go out with and simply knowing somebody genuinely cares can make an enormous difference.
That experience made us realize how many older adults and vulnerable people may be experiencing loneliness or isolation, while their families are trying their best to make sure they are safe, happy and connected.
So Helena’s Helpers was born.
We provide personal befriending and companionship, built around each individual. It might be a cup of tea and a chat at home, a trip to the shops, lunch out, attending an appointment, enjoying an activity or simply having some friendly company for a few hours.
We want the people we support — and their families — to feel that they are dealing with people who genuinely care.
Because Helena’s Helpers isn’t just a business inspired by our family. It’s about bringing a little of that family feeling to yours
Our Mission
At Helena’s Helpers, our mission is simple: to ensure that no one feels forgotten, isolated or alone.
Our business was inspired by Gran, who was the glue that held our family together. She showed us the importance of family, friendship, laughter and simply being there for one another. We want to take those same values and bring them into our local communities.
Our aim is to provide genuine, compassionate companionship that helps people maintain their independence, confidence and connection to the world around them. Whether that means sharing a cup of tea and a chat, enjoying lunch out, attending an appointment, going shopping or simply having someone there for company, every visit will be centered around the individual.
We want our clients and their families to know that when someone spends time with Helena’s Helpers, they are being treated with the same kindness, dignity, patience and respect that we would want for our own family.
As the business grows, we also want to give back. Where possible, a portion of our company profits will be used to create special moments for the people we support — whether that’s a lunch out, a special day or an experience that brings a little extra happiness.
